Ben has been attempting to feed himself yogurt.
He gets the general idea. However, I cannot confirm that any yogurt actually made it in his mouth. The spoon made it to his mouth, but the yogurt ended up in many other places. :) After a thorough washing, I'm still finding dried bits of yogurt in his ears. We'll do another bath tonight.
Oh.my.gosh. That kid is serious cute. And he looks like he had SO much fun with that yogurt... My little guy (Levi) was 1 at the end of June. Are they close in age? Anyhoo... Levi is a no-go with the spoon. I shudder at the thought. I am, however, letting him experiment with the fork. Right now, he'll pick up a "pre-loaded" fork, unload it properly in his mouth and then chuck it sideways as far away as he can. So essentially, we need an entire pile of forks to get through a whole self-fed, tableware-using meal! Or someone sitting on the floor to hand it back to me each time. Maybe someday soon I'll get brave and see what he does all on his own with a spoon and a soft food! Eeek... anyhow, great post. He's adorable!
