Just a Swingin'

Ben is 8 months old now, and I have tried to put him in the swings at the park before, but ... for one reason or another, it hasn't worked out well. When I would put him in the swing, I'd have to stuff blankets around him, and Ben would still kind of slump a bit.

Ben is still a little guy (between 13-14 pounds), but he's getting a lot stronger. We took the kids to the park a few days ago, and decided to try the swings again. Check him out:

The big kids were swinging on a huge swing together:

Corrie decided to push her baby brother on the swings for a while. Ben loved it.

And so did Corrie.

My friend Beckie came to the park with us to take pictures, and these are some of the moments she captured. Aren't the photos great? I've been looking at them all afternoon ... and appreciating how sweet the kids look in all the pictures. It amuses me that I've been oohing and ahhing over pictures of the kids while letting the actual kids run amuck. Ha! Evan and Corrie are just so much quieter in photos. :)

Here's some fun pictures of the three of them together:

It's very difficult to get everybody looking in the right direction. And smiling.

The kids had a blast playing, and I am thrilled to have some good pictures of my dear ones. I'm counting my blessings tonight!

  2. SOOOO adorable!!! I could just eat Ben up! I love the pictures of Corrie pushing Ben too -- that's something Caroline loves to do for Elias too :) Evan looks like such a big boy with his teeth missing.

    1. Thanks, Kindra! It's crazy to see Evan's mouth changing - one of his front permanent teeth has come in. It's huge! :) I'm not ready for him to be so big.

  4. Thanks! I've never been very good at taking pictures ... I'm trying to get better. I barely did a scrapbook for my first, and now that we're on number three, there is no scrapbook in sight. Hopefully the blog will suffice.

  5. You came to visit my blog and I am coming to visit yours!
Your son is adorable! I just love babies! Actually, all your kids are beautiful! I love that picture of your daughter kissing Ben.
My oldest daughter and Nichole (who also has Ds) have just an incredible relationship. Their bond is so strong that it often blows me away. How can a 6 year old have such fierce love for her little sister? It is just a gift and watching them grow that relationship has been one of the greatest joys in my life.
So glad to connect with you!
